This mosaic, ‘Cattle on the Ridge’, is mounted to Wedi board – a foam board
covered with a layer of cement resin with fiberglass mesh.
Jordan’s custom technique starts with a clear sheet of common window glass and sifted powdered colored glass, baked at approximately to 1400 degrees – a process that takes around 15 hours. After firing, Jordan uses a glass cutter to score & break the glass into strips, then wheeled nippers and a glass grinder for a better, closer fit.
Because this glass mosaic is light reflective, the best place to mount it is NOT
across from a window !
