Phone, Text and Facebook Banking Party
Tuesday, November 1 we’re having a combination phone bank, text-banking and Facebook canvassing at headquarters from 6-8 pm.
Phone-banking: All Eastern District, using similar software as the text-banking, so you’re not actually using your own phone number. We’ll have the script ready, and this can also be done from home if you’d like. It just has to be at the same time as everyone else (long story, we pay for the time the dialer is running, so everyone has to go at once).
Text-banking: Statewide, using software, so not your real phone number, not your real name, everything is scripted, you just categorize responses. Requires you to check for new responses within two days of the initial text. But you can just logout of the software when you want to be done.
Facebook canvassing: Just message friends of yours who haven’t yet gotten their ballot in. We do this as a group so you can give me a name, I’ll look them up in the VAN and let you know if they’ve voted yet. If not, you send them a message to get their ballot in. Easy-peasy!
