Talking Points:

• Clarifying that purposely and knowingly providing someone date-rape drugs without their consent is assault and should be punished as such

• This bill will help protect victims of assault as well as make it clear that our criminal justice system is working to protect and prevent assaults like this

• Last year, the University of Montana had to send a warning to students about increased reports of drug-facilitated assaults, (nearly 5 times the amount they normally receive), according to reporting by the Kaimin.

• We need to keep Montana safe
