Yellowstone County Democratic Platform Convention
Join us to discuss and approve Yellowstone County additions and changes to the state Democratic Party Platform. As a Democrat, you will have a voice in this process and an opportunity to put forward your good ideas to our fellow Montanans so we can continue to improve and advance our solid Montana values. And refreshments will be provided.
This is a simple process. When you show up at the meeting room, you will sign in, be given a copy of the current Montana Democratic Party Platform and choose which planks you want to work on. Refreshments will be provided to help you stay sharp through the evening.
It would be best to familiarize yourself with the State Democratic Platform before the Event because it is lengthy. You may access it at https://yellowstonedemocrats.org/platform/. The sections contain the full language of the Platform, including action steps that may or may not have been completed.
Your ideas will be taken to the statewide Platform Convention in the early summer of 2024 to be debated and possibly included in the agenda of every Democratic candidate and officeholder in our state. Any Democrat can attend the State Platform Convention and advocate for a particular idea.
Now is the time to begin participating in this important process. As an individual Democrat, you have the power to define what your party believes and supports through participation, legislation and governance.
How to get to the BEA Meeting Room: The entrance is in the back of the building at 510 N 29th St, Billings, MT 59101 in the alleyway behind the Lincoln Center. Parking on the corner of 30th & 6th is available with a direct path to the entrance.
