• HB 553 removes barriers blocking development of housing that working families can afford, much needed with Montana’s housing crisis.

• Updates housing regulations, allowing for more creative housing types like Mother-in-law apartments

• Every new home matters at the moment and this bill will unlock opportunities for two of the most attainable forms of housing, Accessory Dwelling Units and manufactured housing. HB 553 offers solutions for Montana’s housing shortage and high prices.
