US Senate Candidate Alani Bankhead Speaking at the Downtown Rotary Club Meeting
Alani Bankhead, a candidate for U.S. Senate, appears at a Downtown Rotary Club meeting in Billings. The event is public and open to anyone on or off Facebook.
Alani Bankhead has spent her career doing work where the stakes were life and death, and she is bringing that same seriousness to Montana’s U.S. Senate race.
She served 21 years in the U.S. Air Force and retired as a Lieutenant Colonel. Along the way she led units in Kuwait, ran human intelligence operations against Al Qaeda in Iraq, arrested child predators in Japan, and served as bodyguard chief for a senior Pentagon official. After active duty she became a federal supervisory special agent, leading anti-trafficking investigations across Latin America and co-founding Operation Keiki Shield in Hawai’i, a task force that brought together more than 95 officers and made 25 arrests in 2019 protecting children from exploitation.
Alani grew up a military kid, moving every one to three years, and learned early that “community isn’t something you’re handed, it’s something you build.” Montana is the first place she chose for herself, because it shares her values of community, common sense, hard work, family, and freedom. She lives here with her husband, who is still serving, and their dog.
Her campaign rests on three commitments: affordability for working families, accountability starting from the top, and protecting the vulnerable.
