You can build a stronger community, a little at a time. Here’s three things you can do this week:
1: Knock doors with Senator Tester in Billings!
We are very excited to announce that Jon Tester is stopping by the Billings Field Office to hit the pavement and knock on doors!
Canvassers will start at 3PM from the Billings Field Office for a brief training to go knock on doors and get out the vote! It is super crucial ahead of our upcoming June 4th primary to reach as many folks as possible. For this event everyone must sign up through our Mobilize link to ensure safety and this is crucial!
2: Plan Your Vote
The Montana State primary election day is next week on Tuesday, June 4. Make a plan, so your vote is counted!
- Check your voter registration status and preview your ballot at https://prodvoterportal.mt.gov/WhereToVote.aspx
- Read up on the candidates on your primary ballot. Democratic candidates are listed on our website on the Action Center page. You can also research partisan candidates at your favorite organization or news source, like Forward Montana and Montana Free Press
- If you’re an absentee voter, make sure your ballot is returned to the county election office or the polls before 8pm in June 4.
- If you’re an in-person voter, block off time on your calendar to go to your polling place or the county elections office on June 4 before 8pm.
Also, if you’re in person voter, you may want to consider registering for absentee voting this summer so that come November, you don’t have to worry about long lines or bad weather.
3. Invite a friend to attend the Yellowstone County Delegate Convention with you
We need 21 democrats to represent Yellowstone County at the state delegate convention this June!
The Yellowstone County Democrats are calling their 2024 Democratic Delegate Selection County Convention to be held on June 5, 2024 at 6 p.m. in at the IBEW Local 523, 5200 Midland Rd, Billings, MT 59101.
Here, we caucus with the purpose of electing delegates to be sent to the Montana Democratic Party’s Delegate Selection Convention in Havre, Saturday, June 8 to elect Montana Democrats to serve as delegates to the Democratic National Convention in Chicago, the week of Aug. 18.
