Honoring Ken Chase and Catherine Michunovich

Ken Chase and his wife Ann (who survives him) both served as Chair of the Yellowstone County Democratic Central committee.  They served in that position at different times, but they were always active in Democratic politics since they moved to Yellowstone County in the early 1970’s.  Ken was a Korean War veteran and was awarded the Purple Heart medal.

Catherine Michunovich spent many years as a Democratic elected official, first as Yellowstone County Treasurer and then as County Auditor.  At one time she was the largest vote-getter in Yellowstone County.  Of all the candidates on the ballot, both Republican and Democrat, no one received more votes in Yellowstone County than Catherine Michunovich.  Her husband John, a World War II veteran, died several years ago. John was a long-time member of the Billings City Council.
